'Cosmic Moment' Lusterware Pedestal Bowl

Made from porcelain and elegantly raised on its pedestal foot, this bowl was decorated with unique artist made glazes and put through a complex, multi-stage firing process to achieve a rare in-glaze luster finish. During the firing the metallic components of the glaze are drawn to the surface, forming a thin shimmering layer. The intricacy of this technique, influenced by numerous variables, ensures each bowl is utterly unique and unrepeatable.

On the outside, pink and turquoise glazes flow down the bowl and over the pedestal in big, beautiful drips. Inside, a whole mix of luster glazes has speckled and mottled together into a glowing, iridescent pool... there is something magical and ceremonial about this one.

This lusterware bowl is a testament to the beauty of lovingly handcrafted, artisan made ceramics. Its one off nature makes it a true collector’s item and a cherished addition to your collection.

✨ Note on Lusterware: The shimmering, metallic finish of luster glazes is notoriously difficult to capture in photographs. I’ve done my best to represent each piece faithfully, but part of their magic is how they transform in real life, shifting with the light and offering new surprises from every angle.
