'Milky Way' Lusterware Star Seed

Hand pinched from speckled stoneware, this Star Seed is a small pod formed entirely by hand. The outside is left bare, so the clay keeps its own speckled, earthy texture. The inside is finished with artist-made luster glazes, applied in several different ways and fired through a complex, multi-stage process, creating a mini cosmos cradled inside the pod.

The Star Seeds are part of where this collection began. The origin of the universe, and the earth it grew out of, held in a single object. No two interiors are alike, as the intricacies of the firing process make every one completely unique.

These are decorative pieces. Rest jewels or small treasures inside if you like, or leave it empty and let the galaxy shine on its own.

✨ Note on Lusterware: The shimmering, metallic finish of luster glazes is notoriously difficult to capture in photographs. I’ve done my best to represent each piece faithfully, but part of their magic is how they transform in real life, shifting with the light and offering new surprises from every angle.
